Speculum Artium 2026 application form

Speculum Artium is an annual international festival of new media culture hosted in the post-industrial town of Trbovlje in Slovenia. This year it will take place from 16th to 19th of September. Submission details: We are looking for artists to submit projects in the new media and technology field to be presented at this year’s festival in September. Please take a quick look at http://speculumartium.si to see some of the works from previous editions of the festival. Funds are available for presentation of successful applications. Closing date for applications is March 31st 2026.

Please enter the text you want visitors to see. We will use the text on the website, on project signs and in a very shortened version in the catalogue. The organisers reserve the right to adapt the text to the medium in which it will be used.

Let us know what you need to make your project work. What do you provide and what do you need us to provide at the venue? Let us know how your work fits in to a space e.g. required exhibition space (minimum size, light/dark ambience, ...), internet connectivity, volunteers needed, etc. You can also include sketches of the setup.

    Visual materials
    Photos, sketches, drawings... of your project. Show us what your project looks like and help us understand more about it. If you are successful, we may send you a request for additional media files. You can upload up to 10 images. Please make sure you choose appropriate photos that show the content of your project well. By uploading your photos, you give us permission to make changes to the photos (especially cropping) and to use them for the purpose of setting up the website and promoting the festival, if you are selected for the festival.

      Tell us about yourself and your project. Say ‘hi’ to the audience of Speculum Artium and tell us how your project would fit in to Speculum Artium. Upload one video 30-60 seconds long, 720p / 1080p mp4 (h264) format, here (up to 500mb). We might also use the video as a festival promotion teaser.
